Motorola Radio Feature
Automatic Acoustic Feedback Suppressor (AAFS)
What it does:
- Mitigates the issue of acoustic feedback, also known as squeal, which occurs when a radio's microphone picks up the speaker's output, creating a loop of amplified noise.
- Function: AAFS employs advanced algorithms to:
- Continuously monitor audio signals.
- Detect the presence of acoustic feedback.
- Automatically suppress the feedback loop, preventing the squealing noise.
Benefits:
- Eliminates disruptive noise: Ensures clear and uninterrupted communication by preventing the annoying squeal caused by acoustic feedback.
- Improves audio quality: Enhances overall listening experience for both parties involved in the communication.
- Reduces listener fatigue: Eliminates the unpleasant noise, making it easier to focus on the conversation.
Additional Information:
- AAFS is important in situations where radios are placed close to each other.
- This feature is often integrated alongside other audio enhancement functionalities like Intelligent Audio and IMPRES Audio for a comprehensive solution to clear and reliable communication.
