Get sufficient coverage across your building, even in areas that were previously lacking signal, like stairwells or underground tunnels. A Distributed Antenna System (DAS) is a network of antennas designed to boost and sustain wireless signals throughout a facility where there may otherwise be little or no coverage. A Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA), also known as an in-building amplifier, is a device that amplifies in-building and external radio signals.
Sometimes referred to as an "Enterprise DAS/BDA," these systems are designed to improve two-way radio communication for security and staff, as well as for other wireless devices within a specific building or campus. By removing radio signal dead zones, these systems increase safety, assist in enhanced operational efficiency, and provide a better overall user experience.
A DAS/BDA system may also be legally required. First responders need to be able to communicate on multiple radio frequency bands during emergencies. If a building doesn’t meet minimum signal strength requirements, a DAS/BDA system called an Emergency Responder Radio Coverage Systems (ERRCS) is necessary.
Air Comm has been designing radio communication systems since 1973. Our team of signal experts can perform grid testing to verify existing signal conditions. Based on those results, we can design and install a DAS/BDA system that provides the most reliable and efficient wireless coverage possible, while ensuring your building meets building codes, local standards and operating protocols.
Our NFPA compliant engineers work with industry-standard software to design systems that will perform in any situation. They can even design systems that combines an Enterprise DAS/BDA system with a public safety ERRCS. Need improved cellular signal? Air Comm can design and install a system for that, too. We know this technology better than anyone, and we'll use that knowledge to make sure that your project is successful.
