Safe Schools

Our nation’s schools are supposed to be safe for teaching and learning, free from crime and violence — a place where the next generation can grow and learn. Yet everyday incidents, like a fight in a hallway, an allergic reaction on the playground, or an injury in gym class threaten to disrupt the educational process. Beyond these incidents, the rise of extreme events — including active shooters and bomb threats — are challenging schools to prepare for worst-case scenarios.
